Heerle, The Netherlands, July 29th 2014
We have lost a great man with love, passion and enthusiasm for the Pointer bread.
Geir Roger and I met in The Netherlands when he came to see me to pick up Dansk Dynasty Elka.
A couple of times we had conversations over the phone. Geir was always one of the first people I contacted to share my results from the field with. There was also communication via email.
It was our common passion and enthusiasm for the Dual Purpose pointer that brought us together. Geir always knew perfectly well what I was saying, where I was talking about. A few words were enough to understand each other. He was such good company.
When Said Nordin phoned to tell me we had lost a common friend, I just had to write my remembrance of Geir down. He leaves such a huge empty space behind.
My thoughts and compassion go out to his wife and family. I wish them lots of courage and strength to move on.
I am grateful for the fact that I had the chance to meet a wonderful person like Geir. He has a special place in my heart. He will be missed.
